Icons, an ongoing series of portraits painted to portray the subject in a holy light, often using symbols in their halos to tell a story of each subject. The finding of the first fantastic renaissance-like frame inspired me to paint ‘First Born’ which was floating in my imagination for a number of years. The acquisition of more frames has a given me more opportunities.
